Guides that are related
I’d want to see the Leviathans reworked by the custodians, possibly with a few additional events and adjustments. They’re one of my favorite features of the game, and any improvements, as well as a few new ones:), would be fantastic. Here are a couple of my haphazard ideas.
1) Automated Dreadnaught: This ancient battleship has survived every confrontation it has ever had with any fleet, ship, or monster. I’d want to see miniature automatic emergency beacons installed around its surroundings, similar to the warning signs created by long-ago civilizations to warn of oncoming calamity ( like the beacons at the Omega 4 relay.) Regarding the Dreadnaught, I’d want to see her bolstered with some unique technology that only she has, such as a unique tier 7 armor/shield/weapons. The Dreadnaughts mythology, in my opinion, should make her the uncontested galactic supership. The most powerful warship ever built in the galaxy’s history. This beast has been left alone in her wreckage-strewn system by fallen empires. This ship is supposed to be TERRIFYING! Midgame, you may provoke a mini-crisis by hacking the Dreanaught and sending it on a one-way trip to someone’s terrible day.
2) Stellarite Devourer: With the introduction of Nemesis, the Stellarite Devourer could be able to be upgraded to a bio-star eater. Make it take a LONG time in game to truly “consume” the star for balancing purposes. If the Stellarite Devourer successfully consumes a star, it may expand in size and strength before moving on to the next star to devour. If the game advances to the conclusion, a more powerful later game Leviathan emerges, with higher rewards as it lives longer. That seems like it may add a little something to it. Another suggestion is to do a unique project where you take control of the Devourer in some way. You’d have an organic superstar eater on your hands. Each star consumed by the Stellarite Devourer will upgrade/grow, but at the expense of a reputation hit with the galactic society. Maybe even different effects/buffs/weapons based on what kind of star it eats?
Round 2 of Suggestions:
3) Tiyanki Matriarch: If you possess the Tiyanki’s home system, you should be able to lure, escort, and convey the queen back there. She, along with all other galactic Tiyanki, could be controlled by the player, who would also have access to new reinforcements. Now that their Matriach has returned, maybe new unusual variations will emerge. Consider what might happen if a Patriach chose to spawn anywhere as a potential mini-crisis. Consider what would happen if they went mad and started swarming the galaxy. The Galactic Community may undertake an extermination campaign or a targeted attack aimed at killing the Patriach and reintroducing the Tiyanki to space whales in a passive state. If nothing else, please use the admiral you acquire from conquering the Matriach to improve yourself. Allow his ship to combine with other ships at the very least. Allow them to join his No-retreat fleet if you want them to. Perhaps another unique benefit for this admiral, this time doing extra damage against Leviathan animals.
More ideas are on the way. What are your opinions on this?
